This item comes in all shapes and sizes (the picture you see is just one example) Hill & Smith Ground Mounted Attenuators are designed to be hit from any angle or direction, but if you have opposite traffic you need to use transitions to attach to guide rail, concrete barrier or even concrete blocks. $1,950.00 per unit (Sometimes you need 1 and sometimes you need 2) gets you a heavy duty transition. Single direction traffic does not require a transition as long as there is a concrete barrier in the middle of the road.
